Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground according to blueprints.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and power equipment under the direct supervision of a foreman.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in strict compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- General Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople with various tasks including carpentry, masonry, or painting as needed.
- Measurements: Assist with basic measurements and takeoffs to ensure project accuracy and material efficiency.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically capable of standing, lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as project demands dictate.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction safety gear and hand tools is a plus.
