Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in cleaning job sites, removing debris, and preparing areas for construction activities.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, by performing manual labor tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools safely under supervision.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of tools and materials on-site to ensure nothing is lost or damaged.
- Quality Control: Perform basic quality checks to ensure work meets project specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and report any hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and punctuality are essential for this role.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or early mornings if required.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal instructions in English.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred.
- Experience: Prior construction or labor experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
