Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Operate hand/power tools including saws, drills, and jackhammers under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with task-specific duties
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to comply with OSHA safety standards
- Inspect tools/equipment for functionality and report maintenance needs
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Participate in daily safety briefings and hazard mitigation protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of construction or manual labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials handling
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
