Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for water, gas, sewage, and heating.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams to plan layout.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, fixtures, and equipment.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and pressure testing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on commercial and residential plumbing systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local and state building codes and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and answer questions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency calls.
- Enthusiasm to learn and a strong work ethic are essential.
