Responsibilities
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, site prep, and cleanup
- Operate basic tools (shovels, wheelbarrows, power washers) safely
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Maintain clean, organized job sites per OSHA standards
- Follow supervisor's instructions for project-specific tasks
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Reliable transportation to Oakland job sites
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- No felony convictions (required for site access)
