Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Support Trades: Provide general labor support to carpenters, electricians, and HVAC technicians as directed by the site supervisor.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools (drills, saws, compressors) under supervision when certified.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper disposal of waste and debris at the end of each shift.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, and report any hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for 8+ hours a day, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general handyman work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly from supervisors.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential.
- Valid ID: Must have a valid driver's license and Social Security card.
