Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) under supervisor guidance
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper waste disposal
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and report hazards immediately
- Read basic blueprints and construction plans for material prep
- Assist in equipment setup/teardown for weekend operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand 8+ hours
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Basic tool knowledge (hammers, tape measures, levels)
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, dust)
- Team-oriented attitude with reliable punctuality
