Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Ensure all work is completed in strict accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including job sites and service vans.
- Document all work completed accurately in daily logs and timesheets.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project updates and potential issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to grow in the electrical trade.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with measurements and calculations.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for safety and precision.
