Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators on commercial/residential sites
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, excavating trenches, and setting up safety barriers
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) with precision
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions for material handling
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces per OSHA standards
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 10-hour card (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicagoland
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
- Strong communication skills in English
