Responsibilities
- Anticipate global tech/societal trends post-2025 through horizon scanning and scenario planning
- Develop 5-10 year innovation roadmaps for quantum AI, sustainable materials, and neurotech
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping breakthrough solutions with $2M+ annual R&D budget
- Forge strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and global research institutions
- Present future forecasts to C-suite and board members quarterly
- Drive ethical frameworks for emerging technologies
- Manage innovation pipeline from ideation to pilot launch
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation or futurism, with 5+ years in tech R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching disruptive products (portfolio required)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published author in top-tier innovation journals (e.g., MIT Technology Review)
- Deep network with global research institutions and venture capital
- Proficiency in futures forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
