Responsibilities
- Anticipate and map emerging technological trends across AI, quantum, and biotech sectors
- Develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks for C-suite decision-making
- Conduct scenario planning for disruptive market shifts and regulatory changes
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight into product innovation pipelines
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into company DNA
- Author thought leadership publications on 2026+ technological landscapes
- Monitor global innovation ecosystems and competitive disruption vectors
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, biotech)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial opportunities
- Exceptional systems thinking and pattern recognition abilities
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis tools
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech and venture capital ecosystems
- Published thought leadership or patents in future technologies
