- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies and market disruptions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Drive innovation culture through design thinking workshops and hackathons
- Analyze patent landscapes and competitive intelligence to identify IP opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or Innovation Management
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with proven 2020s technology adoption track record
- Deep expertise in emerging tech trends (quantum, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Experience with innovation frameworks (Stage-Gate, Lean Startup, Blue Ocean Strategy)
- Strong background in intellectual property strategy and commercialization
- Certification in Design Thinking or Strategic Foresight preferred
