You'll lead a multidisciplinary team of quantum physicists, materials scientists, and software engineers to transform theoretical models into practical, scalable quantum applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures using superconducting qubits
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Lead quantum algorithm optimization for real-world problem domains
- Establish industry standards for quantum security protocols
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-enhanced machine learning models
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum hardware design or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Proven track record of leading technical teams through complex R&D projects
- Strong knowledge of NISQ-era limitations and 2026 quantum computing roadmap
