Responsibilities
- Design quantum computing architectures optimized for 2026-scale computational challenges
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems with >99.9% fidelity targets
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum algorithm implementation and optimization
- Collaborate with government agencies on next-gen quantum security protocols
- Author patents and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Drive roadmap for quantum-cloud integration platforms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Proficiency in Q#, Qiskit, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- US government security clearance eligibility (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum control systems
