Responsibilities
- Develop ethical governance frameworks for next-gen AI deployment in healthcare and transportation
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers to embed ethical safeguards into neural network architectures
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on emerging technologies (quantum AI, synthetic biology) with societal impact assessments
- Advocate for inclusive AI design principles through stakeholder engagement with policymakers and industry consortia
- Author white papers on AI ethics for regulatory bodies and academic journals
- Mentor junior futurists in ethical technology foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Ethics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years applied AI ethics experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier journals (Nature, AI Ethics, etc.) on emerging tech ethics
- Deep expertise in ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI Risk Management Framework
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and futures forecasting methodologies
- Experience testifying before congressional subcommittees on tech policy
- Portfolio demonstrating impact on real-world AI governance implementations
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, R) for technical validation
