Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks aligned with IEEE 7001 and EU AI Act standards
- Conduct bias audits and risk assessments for machine learning models using fairness toolkits
- Create governance documentation for AI deployment in regulated industries (healthcare, finance)
- Train engineering teams on responsible AI development practices and ethical data usage
- Advise product teams on ethical design choices during sprint planning and feature development
- Monitor emerging AI regulations and update compliance protocols quarterly
- Represent the company at industry ethics panels and contribute to policy discussions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, or related field with 3+ years of AI governance experience
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks (Asilomar Principles, EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Proficiency in bias detection tools (IBM AI Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
- Experience with regulatory compliance in regulated industries (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA)
- Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Published work in AI ethics or participation in ethics working groups preferred
- Knowledge of quantum computing's ethical implications a plus
