Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with IEEE 7000 and ISO/IEC 42001 standards
- Conduct algorithmic bias audits using fairness metrics like disparate impact ratio and demographic parity
- Develop ethical review protocols for high-stakes AI applications in healthcare and autonomous systems
- Partner with legal teams to ensure compliance with emerging AI regulations including EU AI Act and US Algorithmic Accountability Act
- Create transparency documentation for AI decision systems using Explainable AI (XAI) techniques
- Lead stakeholder workshops to establish ethical principles for generative AI deployments
- Monitor industry developments in AI ethics and update organizational policies quarterly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, Ethics, or related field with 3+ years of AI ethics experience
- Proficiency in fairness assessment tools like IBM AI Fairness 360 or Google What-If Tool
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscape for AI (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, FTC guidelines)
- Experience developing ethical review boards or governance committees
- Strong technical writing skills for creating AI ethics documentation
- Published research in AI ethics or responsible AI preferred
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethics Certification) required
