Responsibilities
- Lead cutting-edge research in advanced machine learning algorithms and neural architectures
- Develop novel AI models for autonomous systems, natural language processing, and computer vision
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research into production-ready solutions
- Author high-impact publications for top-tier AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
- Secure and manage research grants from federal agencies and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
- Identify emerging AI trends and propose strategic research directions for 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing production AI systems
- Deep expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and distributed computing
- Proven track record of publishing at NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR or equivalent venues
- Strong background in reinforcement learning, generative models, or multi-agent systems
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to tackle undefined research challenges
- Fluency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
