Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel AI architectures for 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-functional research teams to develop quantum-resistant ML models
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (NeurIPS, ICML, Nature AI)
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into production-ready prototypes
- Secure $5M+ in federal AI research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on federated learning initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, or Quantum Computing (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in applied AI research with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and quantum computing
- Proven track record of shipping production ML systems
- Strong background in reinforcement learning and generative models
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/NIH/DARPA)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for unsolved technical challenges
