Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Shadow experienced professionals to learn installation, repair, and maintenance techniques for residential and commercial wiring systems.
- Tool Preparation: Maintain and organize tools, including multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Installation Support: Help in the installation of lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers according to local building codes.
- Material Handling: Transport and load electrical materials and equipment to job sites, ensuring inventory is accounted for.
- Site Clean-up: Maintain a clean and safe job site by properly disposing of debris and securing electrical hazards after work is completed.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answering questions about project timelines and electrical safety.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
- Attitude: A strong willingness to learn and a proactive approach to safety protocols.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for site travel.
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills to understand technical manuals and safety documents.
- Reliability: Punctuality and consistency are essential for team success.
