Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Provide hands-on support during installations, repairs, and maintenance projects to learn proper techniques.
- Learn Blueprints: Study and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Material Preparation: Fetch, organize, and prepare electrical materials, tools, and equipment for the crew.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including toolboxes and job sites.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients to explain progress and answer basic questions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortability with basic arithmetic for measurements and material calculations.
- Work Ethic: A strong desire to learn the trade and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Background: No criminal record that would disqualify you from working in construction.
