Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, saws, drills) and light equipment safely
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site regulations
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment efficiently
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying (up to 75 lbs)
- Assist in scaffolding setup, trenching, and demolition as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and heights
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work collaboratively
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
