Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and establishing safety protocols
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery under supervision
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and site tasks
- Follow blueprints and instructions to ensure accurate project execution
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Report equipment issues and safety hazards to site supervisors
- Complete daily progress reports and assist with basic site documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability focus
- Pass pre-employment drug and background screening
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
