Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing traffic
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and tool management
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, and power tools with proper certification
- Maintain site safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and hazard communication
- Perform concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks under supervisor guidance
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent vocational training
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
