Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation, including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment per project specifications
- Perform demolition, cleanup, and debris removal at job sites
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company standards
- Collaborate with skilled trades (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) on tasks
- Maintain accurate time logs and complete daily progress reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible schedule including overtime and weekend availability
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
