Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment at job sites safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas in accordance with blueprints and safety regulations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and compressors, under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by removing debris and following waste management protocols.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks as needed to ensure project flow.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on your feet.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
