Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing and cleaning areas, moving materials, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and following safety protocols.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as needed.
- Measurement: Measure, cut, and handle materials according to blueprints and specifications when applicable.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and willing to work in varying weather conditions.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and pay attention to safety details.
- Teamwork: Strong desire to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school experience is a plus.
