Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and moving materials.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack lumber, bricks, concrete blocks, and other construction materials safely.
- Tool Assistance: Operate and maintain basic hand and power tools under the supervision of senior crew members.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean work area.
- Physical Support: Perform manual labor tasks including lifting, carrying, and climbing as required by the project scope.
- Team Communication: Communicate effectively with foremen and other crew members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: No prior construction experience required; entry-level candidates welcome.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Attitude: Positive attitude, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and quality work.
