Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist with site preparation, including digging, tamping, and clearing debris.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials safely to and from the job site.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand tools and power tools under the supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Support Tasks: Assist carpenters, electricians, and masons with various general labor tasks.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Heavy Lifting: Perform physical labor which may include lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Availability: Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and overtime as required by project schedules.
- Weather Tolerance: Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience in construction is a plus.
