Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and marking measurements
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and tool management
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, and power tools safely
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work environments
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to execute construction tasks accurately
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and operating equipment in all weather conditions
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain project documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor or related field experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory tracking
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Experience with power tools and construction machinery preferred
