Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Machinery Operation: Operate hand and power tools, including jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers, under supervision.
- Material Handling: Transport, unload, and stack building materials (bricks, lumber, concrete) at job sites.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Project Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks to ensure project timelines are met.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area by disposing of waste materials properly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Teamwork: Strong willingness to work as part of a team and respect for coworkers.
