Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Perform general labor tasks such as digging, trenching, and leveling the ground to prepare sites for construction.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly under the supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and adhering to site safety protocols.
- Assistance: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other trades with various tasks as needed to ensure project efficiency.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret basic construction drawings and diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Weather Adaptability: Work in various weather conditions, ensuring safety and productivity regardless of the environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- License: Valid Driverβs License and reliable transportation is required.
- Skills: Basic math skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety.
- Equipment: Willingness to learn how to operate basic construction equipment and machinery.
