Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment securely at job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various construction tasks.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning debris, marking layouts, and ensuring a safe environment.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to prevent accidents.
- Perform basic measurements and assist with site preparation and cleanup.
- Transport materials to and from the job site as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for 8+ hours a day in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and site etiquette.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different construction trades.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
