Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various construction tasks, including carpentry, drywall, and flooring installation.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and storage areas.
- Operate basic construction machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping, cleaning, and removing debris.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to blueprints and supervisor instructions.
- Perform physical labor as assigned, including digging, lifting, and hauling.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver's license is a plus but not required.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.
- Basic math skills for measuring and material estimation.
