Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and ensuring the work area is safe and organized.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials such as lumber, drywall, and bricks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic power tools and equipment (e.g., drills, saws) under the direct supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Support Duties: Perform essential tasks including mixing concrete, cleaning forms, and assisting carpenters and electricians with various duties.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and debris-free site at the end of each shift to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long hours.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills are essential; prior experience is not required.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to understand and follow safety instructions.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor with coworkers.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not strictly required.
