Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support Trades: Provide direct support to skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, ensuring projects progress smoothly.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools and hand tools under supervision to perform basic construction tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Heavy Lifting: Perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and standing for long hours.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work well within a team structure.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Equipment: Willingness to learn and operate various construction tools and equipment.
- License: Valid driver's license is preferred.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and in various weather conditions.
