Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and tools under supervision to support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.).
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Task Execution: Perform general labor tasks including digging, mixing concrete, and assisting with concrete pouring and finishing.
- Quality Assurance: Help ensure that work meets project specifications and quality standards before completion.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical activities for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long hours.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor, general labor, or a similar trade is preferred but not required for entry-level applicants.
- Tool Proficiency: Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethic.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
