Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites to ensure efficiency.
- Site Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, with daily tasks and project requirements.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate basic construction machinery and power tools (e.g., forklifts, generators, drills) under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Clean-Up Duties: Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Physical Labor: Perform essential construction duties such as digging, shoveling, and carrying materials as needed.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on concrete surfaces.
- Entry Level Mindset: No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Reliability: Dependable work history with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and teamwork.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is preferred for site access.
