Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, grading the ground, and setting up temporary structures and signage.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- General Labor: Perform manual tasks including digging trenches, mixing concrete, pouring foundations, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and power equipment (saws, drills, etc.) under direct supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with foremen, project managers, and team members regarding task requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in general construction labor is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, stand for extended periods, and lift items weighing 50+ pounds.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Reliability: Proven history of punctuality, attendance, and dependability.
- Work Ethic: Strong willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work well in a team environment.
- Availability: Flexibility to work full-time hours, including weekends and potential overtime.
