Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing, leveling, and grading the area.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using hand tools and machinery.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and tools (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) under supervision.
- Quality Control: Perform basic measurements and inspections to ensure work meets quality standards.
- Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe job site by removing debris and following safety protocols.
- Trade Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) as needed on active projects.
- Documentation: Complete daily logs and reports regarding site conditions and progress.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a laborer or general construction work is a plus; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Safety Awareness: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
