Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, and hauling materials on active construction sites.
- Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various installation and assembly tasks.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards at all times.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to understand specific project requirements.
- Transport tools and materials to and from the job site efficiently to maintain workflow.
- Perform routine site maintenance, including fencing, barricading, and debris removal.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and perform manual labor.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as project demands require.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school experience is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team environment.
