Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment on the job site.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
- Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe job site by removing debris and waste regularly.
- Tools & Equipment: Operate basic power tools and hand tools safely and correctly.
- Transportation: Transport materials between storage areas and work zones using hand trucks or dollies.
- Support: Perform general labor duties including digging, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (typically 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Physical Health: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety gear is a plus.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to the Oakland job site.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions from supervisors clearly.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and punctuality are essential.
