Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear, clean, and prepare construction sites by removing debris and obstacles to ensure a safe working environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as directed by the site foreman.
- Waste Management: Ensure proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials according to OSHA and local regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operational Support: Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure readiness for the night shift.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long hours.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (typically 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM).
- Reliability: Motivated, punctual, and willing to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- License: Valid driverβs license is preferred but not always required.
