Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport heavy building materials to and from the job site efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with daily tasks and project execution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in strict accordance with OSHA standards.
- Operate basic construction equipment and machinery under the direct supervision of a foreman.
- Follow all safety protocols and site-specific safety plans.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials (wood, concrete, drywall) for installation.
- Signal operators of heavy machinery to facilitate safe loading and unloading operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (5:00 PM - 3:00 AM).
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
