Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site efficiently.
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, and plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain basic construction tools and power equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, company policies, and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Preparation: Prepare surfaces and areas for painting, finishing, or other construction activities.
- Support: Perform general manual labor duties including digging, lifting, and pouring concrete as needed.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (typically 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM or similar schedules).
- Physical Requirements: Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Basic knowledge of construction tools and general construction procedures is preferred but not always required.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to and from the job site.
