Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople in demolition, excavation, and site preparation
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, carts, and heavy equipment under supervision
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Operate basic tools (shovels, hammers, saws) after training completion
- Read and interpret simple blueprints and safety instructions
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing operations
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Valid government-issued photo ID (required for site access)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
