Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Safely operate hand tools and basic power equipment (training provided)
- Load/unconstruction materials and equipment at job sites
- Maintain organized, hazard-free work environments following OSHA standards
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and moving debris
- Follow verbal instructions from site supervisors and project managers
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
- Complete minor demolition and site restoration tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – we train all new hires
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Sacramento County
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and occasional weekends
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety protocols
