Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment (such as brooms, shovels, and forklifts) under supervision to help complete daily tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing waste and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Trade Assistance: Support journeyman and skilled craft workers with tasks such as mixing concrete, carrying lumber, or assisting with framing.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Work Ethic: Willingness to learn, work hard, and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Documentation: Valid ID and ability to pass a background check.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not always required.
