Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling the ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, lumber, and tools at the job site.
- General Labor: Perform various manual tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, and hauling waste to keep the site safe and organized.
- Assistance: Help skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with basic tasks to ensure project efficiency.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and tools (drills, saws, levels) under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to be trained in construction methods and safety protocols.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not strictly required.
