Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and site preparation
- Operate basic hand tools (shovels, hammers, levels) and light machinery (saws, drills)
- Maintain clean, organized job sites by removing debris and waste materials
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Perform general site cleanup and preparation tasks
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Los Angeles County
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurements
